Adams to investigate one of the most exciting fields in modern biology, the epigenetics of cell senescence, aging and age-associated diseases, such as cancer. Candidates should have, or be working towards, a PhD or equivalent degree in a biological science. The project will employ state-of-the-art molecular and cellular biology approaches, including cell imaging, ChIP-seq, RNA-seq, DNA methyl-seq and other large-scale epigenomic and chromatin analyses. The Adams lab has dedicated computational biology support for data analysis. In addition, we routinely employ sophisticated mouse models and human tissues. The Adams lab is situated in the state-of-the-art Cancer Research UK Beatson Institute for Cancer Research. The lab is well funded by CRUK, BBSRC, MRC and the United States NIH. Research facilities and academic environment are excellent and, through collaborative NIH and BBSRC funding, there is opportunity to work closely with other leading labs, in the United States and Europe.
