Our day-to-day work ranges from the development of models and software, field measurements and assessment studies. We also study environmental problems related to the transport of air borne pollution and turbulence exchange of matter during interaction between the atmosphere and terrestrial or marine surfaces.
You will work with a team analyzing offshore meteorological conditions from meteorological observations, satellite remote sensing and possibly atmospheric mesoscale model results to wind energy problems, both in research and commercial projects. You will be expected to collaborate with other groups within the Wind Energy Department, in cross disciplinary projects. As well as developing and implementing new ideas within wind energy meteorology, you would be expected to write scientific articles, project applications, attend and contribute to conferences, workshops and project meetings.
Qualifications The applicant should have:
- PhD in meteorology, climatology or other closely related
- Experience in analysis offshore meteorological data such as meteorological observations from masts and satellite remote sensing data
