An opening for a Research Fellow (post-doctoral) position is available for the beginning of 2014 in the laboratory of Assistant Professor Xavier Roca (School of Biological Sciences NTU), to work in the field of alternative splicing in human immune cells. The ideal candidate will be a PhD title bearer with a proven record of productivity, as well as highly motivated and devoted to both basic and applied research. The ideal candidate should also have extensive experience in some or most of these categories: cell culture and standard molecular biology, immunology, splicing, next generation sequencing and bioinformatics. In addition to carry on this project in collaboration with Dr Zheng Jie (School of Computer Engineering NTU), the Research Fellow is also expected to help in mentoring undergrad interns and/or PhD students, thereby contributing to the scientific nurture and productivity of the whole lab.
