美国迈阿密大学米勒医学院统计遗传学博士后职位
The John P. Hussman Institute for Human Genomics at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate to work on the statistical, population genetic aspects, and/or microbiome analysis of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as part of a multidisciplinary IBD research team, led by Drs. Maria Abreu and Jacob McCauley. This team of investigators is comprised of molecular geneticists, gastroenterologists, bioinformaticians, and statistical and genetic epidemiologists who work together on studies related to IBD. The qualified candidate will be working on research directed towards identifying environmental factors, genes and the mechanisms that they influence to increase the risk and outcomes associated with IBD. This project offers a unique opportunity to participate in microbiome analysis of a biobank of biospecimen samples collected from IBD patients.
Minimum requirements are as follows: Ph.D. or MD. Experience in statistical genetics, statistics, genetic epidemiology, or bioinformatics preferred. Microbiome or metagenomics analysis experience preferred. The ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team is expected. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience may be considered. |
