英国谢菲尔德大学纳米结构半导体磁发电机光学研究博士后
Applications are invited for a Post-doctoral Research Associate position in advanced magneto-optics in nanostructured materials. This is a new research post in a world-leading group, who recently pioneered nano-NMR in semiconductor quantum dots.
This post arises as part of a large-scale UK grant award to the Semiconductor Physics group at the University of Sheffield ( http://ldsd.group.shef.ac.uk/). You will carry out magneto-optical studies of semiconductor nanostructures, in many cases integrated into photonic structures and based on quantum dots and nanowires, and also two-dimensional atomically thin materials. The post will enable you to participate in research at the cutting edge of semiconductor nanophysics and technology, and will provide the opportunity to achieve some of the first magnetic resonance demonstrations in nanostructured semiconductors and reveal magnetic properties of novel 2D materials. The research will be carried out in the state-of-the-art magneto-optics laboratories in the semiconductor group at the University of Sheffield ( http://ldsd.group.shef.ac.uk/qdots/spin.php) on structures grown and fabricated in the EPSRC III-V Facility at Sheffield ( www.epsrciii-vcentre.com), and in collaborator groups in the UK and outside.
You will hold, or be about to submit, a PhD in advanced solid state physics or a related research field. You will have excellent oral presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills, and a good record of publications in international research journals with high impact factor.
