丹麦奥尔胡斯大学招聘理论原子/分子/光学物理研究博士后
RESEARCH FIELD: Atomic, molecular and optical (AMO) physics. Computational quantum chemistry.
SHORT DESCRIPTION: Postdoc position starting December 2013 in computational AMO physics / quantum chemistry (time-dependent many-electron theory, strong fields and attoscience) at Department of Physics and Astronomy, Aarhus University, Denmark.
LONG DESCRIPTION: A postdoc position starting December 2013 of one year’s duration with possible prolongation is hereby announced at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Aarhus University. The position is funded by anERC project on time-dependent many-electron theory led by principal investigator Lars Bojer Madsen. The current opening is within the topic of computational physics/computational quantum chemistry. The successful candidate will be involved in the formulation and implementation of time-dependent many-electron theory that treat the electron-electron interaction beyond the mean field. Particular attention will be devoted to the description of the electronic continuum. Experience with implementation and method developing in computational many-electron methods, e.g., multi-configurational Hartree-Fock, CI, or coupled-cluster methods is expected. The theory and numerical codes developed will be applied to timely problems in strong-field and attoscience. More information about the current activities of the principal investigator can be found at the home pages http://www.phys.au.dk/bojer
Applicants must hold a PhD degree in theoretical Physics or theoretical Quantum Chemistry. Salary depends on seniority as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Unions. Information about salary, tax, health insurance, accommodation etc. is available on the web site: http://ias.au.dk/international-academic-staff-ias/
Please e-mail applications to Secretary Grete Flarup ( flarup@phys.au.dk). Applications must contain: 1) a curriculum vitae, 2) a list of publications, including description of the 3 most important works, 3) clear statements about experience with the development of numerical and computational techniques and 4) the names, affiliations and e-mail addresses of three references.
All documents must be packed into a single pdf-file, and the application must be submitted before September 6, 2013. Please quote “AMO Postdoc Position” in the subject header of the email. The applicants will be notified about the final decision within 2-3 weeks after the application deadline. |
