英国伯明翰大学招聘免疫学博士后职位
An exciting opportunity is now available for a Post-Doctoral scientist to take a leading role in a specialist research programme which seeks to understand the immunological mechanisms by which stem cell transplantation can cure malignant disease.
The post is funded by the MRC and is part of a 4 year Specialist Programme entitled ‘A multi-disciplinary approach to understanding the immunological basis of graft versus host disease’.
The successful applicant will have a proven track record in Immunology and will have been awarded or be close to completion of a PhD in immunology or a similar subject. The successful applicant will work as part of a team of 2 Post-Doctoral scientists, 1 Clinical Research fellow and 2 research technicians and will be responsible for supervision of technical staff and students in the Moss laboratory.
The post will entail working closely with both scientists and clinicians to deliver high quality research. Experience of interaction and communication with clinical staff in order to secure clinical samples for use in the laboratory will be highly advantageous.
In particular, the post-holder will be responsible for the identification, tracking and analysis of antigen-specific allogeneic T-cell responses. Experience in isolation of rare T-cell subsets, T-cell cloning, use of multimers to identify antigen-specific T-cells and the use of peptide lines would also be extremely advantageous. |
