Applicants are invited to apply for a full time research position lasting 1 year with the possibility of reappointment on an annual basis in accordance with applicable personnel policies and availability of funds. Salary is dependent upon qualifications.
The position requires a Ph.D. with significant experience in neurophysiology. The project will involve recordings of human iPSC-derived neurons from various genetic conditions. Familiarity with programming scripts would be beneficial.

The Neuroscience Research Institute (NRI) at UCSB is an interdisciplinary research unit dedicated to revealing basic biological processes in neuroscience. The Kosik Research Group works on neural plasticity including the molecular basis of plasticity, the evolution of synapses, and disease-related impairments of plasticity such as occurs in Alzheimer’s disease.
