The position is available beginning May 1 and may continue through August, 2015, subject to performance and continued NIH funding. Additional Information: The major goals of this project are to quantify the levels and special distributions of mRNAs involved in regenerative processes by quantitative real time PCR and whole mount and section in situ hybridization, respectively. Basic Qualifications: Applicants should have at a Ph.D. in Molecular/Cell Biology or Neuroscience. Must be enthusiastic, self-driven, productive, and enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment. Must have moderate to extensive experience with molecular biology techniques. Preferred Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in experimental biological sciences and is expected to have extensive previous training and experience with real time quantitative PCR, in situ hybridization, and other skills of molecular biology, including DNA and RNA extraction, probe preparation, PCR, and cloning. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-driven, productive, and enjoy working in a highly collaborative environment. Physical Requirements Minimal exposure to biohazardous chemicals. This position requires light work (20 pounds of force occasionally).
