德国马普研究所计算生物学和系统生物学博士后职位
A postdoctoral position in computational biology / systems biology is available in the Klamt Lab at the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems in Magdeburg (Germany). Our group develops algorithms and modeling techniques for model-based analysis, reconstruction (inference) and targeted modification of biological networks. Together with biological partners, these methods are employed to study realistic networks of cellular signal transduction and metabolism. For more information on the group see: http://www.mpi-magdeburg.mpg.de/people/klamt/klamt_group.html
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated coworker to support our current research projects in the following fields: - implementation of novel algorithms for biological network analysis in MATLAB, JAVA, CPLEX and other scientific software - maintenance and further development of our MATLAB toolbox CellNetAnalyzer - development of novel theoretical methods and algorithms for biological network anal-ysis (including reverse engineering of signaling networks; metabolic network analysis; optimization of biological networks) - applications to realistic biological networks in collaboration with our experimental partners
The candidate should hold a doctoral degree and have a strong background in mathematics, physics, informatics, or engineering sciences. He/she must be able to work interdisciplinary. Experiences in programming (MATLAB, Java, others) and in mathematical modeling of biological networks and is recommended.
The Max Planck Institute and our group offer excellent research opportunities in a stimulating and friendly environment. Salary will be equivalent to E14 (TVöD-Bund). The position is immediately available, initially for one year (extensions possible and desired).
To apply, combine the following documents into one PDF file: cover letter, CV, certificates, short description of scientific achievements (~one page), publication list, contact information for two references. Send this PDF file as soon as possible to: klamt@mpi-magdeburg.mpg.de |
