A NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediate to work on a project that focuses on the effects of lysophosphatidic acid (LPA) on colorectal cancer. The qualified candidate should have working knowledge of G protein-coupled receptors, signal transduction, and metabolism. The candidate will determine how LPA regulates Wnt pathways and metabolism of cancer cells. The candidate is expected work human cancer cell lines and transgenic mice. The proposed study uses state of art molecular, cellular, and physiological techniques.
The hired Postdoc should be able to carry out experiments independently as well as work together with other lab personnel. Candidates must be able to design and troubleshoot experiments, and must be proficient in oral and written communication. Preference is given to early stage postdocs (< 2 yrs) with prior experience and training in the area of cancer, cell biology, molecular biology, and signal transduction.
