A postdoctoral position is available at the Co-DOT Laboratory (www.co-dot.ulaval.ca) of Université Laval, a research laboratory specialized in Human Factors and Cognitive Psychology. We seek a candidate to work with a team on a research project aiming at characterizing the cognitive aspects of security surveillance and then test technological solutions to improve surveillance work. The candidate will significantly contribute to the research design, organisation of the work, and analysis and results communication. He or she will have a travel budget for attending conferences.
Job Summary o Coordinate research activities related to the project on security surveillance, in particular: - evaluate existing scientific literature - coordinate execution of experimentations, data collection and results discussion related activities - coaching of research assistants and Ph.D. Students o Analyze behavioral and oculometric data; o Develop, conceptualize, and write theoretic and methodological reports, and scientific publications; o Keep up to date with partners involved in the project; o Take part in various related tasks.
Requirements o Ph.D. in Psychology (with strong interest for Cognitive Psychology) o Bilingualism (although Université Laval is a French-speaking environment, most of the work related to the position can be done in English)
Knowledge, skills, and abilities o Able to work in teams and following priorities’ orders o Project management experience o Self-sufficient o Oculometric knowledge
