Postdoctoral Position in Prion Diseases and Protein Misfolding Research
Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, OH 44106-4907, United States
JOB DESCRIPTION
Postdoctoral position is available to study biological, biophysical and translational aspects of human prion diseases at the Department of Pathology, Neurology, and the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center (NPDPSC), at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU). The Lab and Center has developed many powerful tools to elucidate the mechanisms of replication and propagation of prions that lead to the discovery of new prion forms and diseases.
Highly motivated candidates should have a Ph.D. or M.D. and a strong background in prion research, protein misfolding, neurodegenerative diseases, protein-protein or protein-lipid interactions, or proteomics are especially encouraged to apply.
Applicants should send curriculum vitae and three letters of reference to Dr. J.G. Safar, E-mail: jgs109@case.edu.
