We are recruiting talented senior-level cell biologists, who are interested in studying fundamental aspects of protein secretion and sorting in mammalian cells. In particular, we will be investigating (1) the role of septin family proteins in defining membrane nano-domains that are responsible for constitutive exocytic pathway from the trans-Golgi network; (2) how various membrane trafficking machineries are organized across the cytosolic face of the Golgi apparatus, mainly using proximity-based tagging and mass spectrometry.
Qualifications :
1. Ph.D. degree in one of the following majors; Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Immunology.
2. Minimum of three years of postdoctoral training in prestigious US or European universities/research institutes.
3. Strong publication records in any area of basic cell biology, although applicants with membrane trafficking background will be preferred.
4. Strong proven skills in fluorescent microscopy (i.e. live im aging) or protein biochemistry (protein expression/purification in bacterial/insect cells) will be given preference. 5. Salary level will be determined, based on qualification and research experiences.
