Postdoctoral Research Position Opening in Diabetes & Cardiovascular Research
Location : York University, Toronto, Canada

The candidate appointed to the position will join a dynamic research team working on the topic of obesity and diabetes: in particular the contribution of adipokines to altered metabolism in skeletal muscle, liver and heart. Approaches used include novel animal models, tissue specific gene delivery and hyperinsulinemic/euglycemic clamp studies. This is complemented by additional mechanistic in vitro cell based studies often involving gain or loss of function.
Ideally, applicants should have background experience in one or more of the following technical areas: metabolism, animal surgery, primary cell isolation, molecular/cellular biology techniques, confocal microscopy.
