A post-doctoral fellow position is available to work on the molecular mechanism of smooth muscle cell (SMC) differentiation in vascular diseases (background literature PMID: 20224039, 21183509). The major responsibility is to characterize how cytoskeletal proteins, transcription factors and epigenetic factors regulate SMC phenotypic modulation in response to vascular injury using in vitro cell culture and in vivo mouse vascular diseases.
Qualified candidates should have a Ph.D degree with extensive experience in molecular biology and highly motivated. Solid technical skills in experiments involving protein-protein, protein-DNA interaction, signal transduction and/or genomic-bioinformatic analyses are preferred.
