A position is available for a project focusing on the detection of cells following injection into small animals by nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) imaging. The main goal is to establish clinically relevant protocols to label cells, making them detectable by 19F-NMR, and to follow their fate after transfer in vivo.
Our research takes advantage of a broad expertise in cardiac MR imaging within a Center of Reference for Quality Control of the EuroCMR Registry. We are using animal models of cardiac diseases, cell culture, and state-of-the-art molecular and cellular biology techniques.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a PhD, and a strong expertise in cellular biology. Interest in cardiac diseases and cardiac imaging, excellent publication record, good communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently are expected.
Competitive salary is available for two years with possibility of extension to a third year.
