job description Post-doctoral and technician positions are available at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology (OIST) in Okinawa, Japan, in the laboratory of Dr. Mary Ann Price. The focus of the lab is the mechanism of Hedgehog signal transduction, particularly the regulation of Ci/Gli transcription factors. The laboratory uses a variety of approaches to address questions in this field, including biochemistry, molecular biology, imaging, and Drosophila genetics. Experience in any of the above techniques is desirable. Proficiency in oral and written English is essential. The starting annual salary will be 4.5-6.0 million yen (post-doc) or 2.8-4.5 million yen (technician) depending on experience.
