Our research is highly collaborative as we perform team science involving several basic and clinical collaborators from the UCSD School of Medicine. The division is equipped with Next Generation Sequencing technology and state of the art computational resources. It directly benefits from the highly competitive genomic and bioinformatics environment of UCSD and the San Diego biotech community.
We are seeking a postdoctoral candidate with interest in chromatin and transcriptional regulation who wishes to further develop their understanding of the molecular interplay between DNA variants and gene expression. Studying iPS derived cells and using state of the art genomic approaches, the candidate will decipher the influence of DNA variation on gene expression in the whole genome as well as few selected genomic loci.
