上海交通大学公开招聘媒体与设计学院院长公告
上海交通大学是我国历史最悠久、享誉海内外的高等学府之一，是教育部直属并与上海市共建的全国重点大学。经过117年的不懈努力，上海交通大学已经成为一所“综合性、研究型、国际化”的国内一流、国际知名大学。
上海交通大学媒体与设计学院成立于2002年，经过10年建设，在教育部2012年组织的一级学科评估中，其新闻传播学排名为全国第10名，设计学排名为全国第13名。在世界大学评价主要机构之一的QS发布的2012年“传播与媒体”学科排名中，上海交通大学跻身世界百强。媒体与设计学院下设新闻与传播系、电影电视系、文化产业管理系、设计系；传播学、新闻学、广播电视艺术学、设计艺术学等硕士点；工业设计工程硕士、数字媒体艺术与技术工程硕士、MFA（艺术专业硕士）、新闻传播专业硕士等专业硕士点，以及文化产业与媒介管理二级博士点。拥有多个高水平基地服务科研教学工作，包括“全球传播研究院”、“国家文化产业创新与发展研究基地”（与文化部共建）、“两岸文化产业研究中心”（与文化部共建）、“东森两岸四地传播研究中心”、“都市文化与传播研究中心”、“程及美术馆”等。学院师资力量雄厚，教职工总数保持100人规模，专任教师及研究人员中85%以上具有海外学历或进修经历。有教授25名，博士生导师15名，长江讲座教授1名、教育部新世纪（跨世纪）人才5名、上海市“千人计划”1名、国际核心期刊编委3名等一批在国内外学术舞台崭露头角的中青年学术人才。

Search for Dean of the School of Media and Design

Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) is one of the leading universities in China. With unremitting efforts of 117 years, SJTU is striding steadily towards the first-class university of the world. School of Media and Design (SMD), Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was founded in 2002. After 10 years of development, in SMD, the division of Journalism & Communication and the division of Design respectively ranked No.10 and No.13 as evaluated by the Ministry of Education. The Communication & Journalism division is in top 100 of the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2012.
Currently, the School consists of four departments, namely, Journalism & Communication Department，Film & TV Department, Design Department & Cultural Management Department. At present, SMD offers four Master programs：Communication Study，Journalism，Broadcasting & Television Art Study，Design Study. It offers four professional Master programs: Engineering Master in Industry Designing, Engineering Master in Digital Media Art and Technology, MFA (Master of Fine Arts), Master in Journalism and Communication. It also offers Ph.D. program in Cultural Industry & Communication Management. SMD owns a number of advanced education bases, including Global Communication Study Institute of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Innovation and Development Research Base of National Cultural Industry (collaboration with Ministry of Culture)，Cross-strait Research Base of National Cultural Industry (collaboration with Ministry of Culture) , Urban Culture & Communication Research Center and Chengji Art Gallery. Around 100 faculty members are working in SMD, more than 85% of the faculties hold abroad degrees or have experiences of overseas study. Among them there are 25 professors, 15 supervisors of Ph.D. candidates and one Yangtze River professor. Five of the faculties were awarded by Education Ministry of China ’Cross-centurial Talent’ or ‘New century Talent’. One of faculties was selected by ‘Shanghai Recruitment Program of Global Experts’. Three faculty members sit on the editorial board of internationally renowned academic journals.
In order to speed up the development of SMD, SJTU is seeking qualified candidates for the Deanship worldwide. Review of applications is from the date of publishing to Nov 12, 2013. Startup fund and competitive salary package will be offered based on the experience and qualification of the candidate.
